CNESCO and Sinophene are two high-tech innovation corporations, founded in Shenzhen with the purpose of being on the forefront of graphene development. While CNESCO focuses on product applications and the research of graphene and graphene related products, Sinophene focuses on the extraction and manufacturing of graphene from graphite.
CNESCO was established in March 2012 by founder Zhang Mingdong, after a stint abroad. The company has gathered industry experts domestic and foreign to lead the development of graphene for high tech corporations. In 2013 this paid off, as the company was highly regarded by both the government and expert reviews. The company is now known for its technical abilities and outstanding achievements. In just two and a half years, it has been able to declare twenty invention patents, eight of which are already authorized in China. From 2014 to 2015, the company won multiple awards and grants, including industry grants, entrepreneur funds, innovation funds, and equity investment funds.
Following the success of CNESCO, Sinophene was founded in August 2015 through a financing cooperation agreement with the help of Guangdong Network and China Securities. This marked a new chapter for both Sinophene and its parent company, CNESCO. With a high number of industry leading technological breakthroughs and research results in a relatively short span of time, as well as the growing usage of graphene, there’s hope that this company will be not only Shenzhen’s, but even the world’s leader within the graphene industry.
